1. Who We Are

This policy applies to the Vosuba AI website at vosuba.com and the Vosuba AI desktop application, both operated by Shaking Sheep Studio Limited, a sole proprietorship based in Hong Kong SAR, China ("we," "us," "our").

2. Data the Desktop Application Collects

Vosuba AI processes all media files locally on your device using on-device AI models. We do not transmit, receive, or store your videos, audio recordings, subtitle files, or transcripts on any server.

The application makes the following outbound connections:

2a. Licence Validation

When you activate a licence key, the app contacts our licence validation endpoint (powered by Lemon Squeezy) to verify the key and bind it to your device identifier. The following data is transmitted at activation time:

• Your licence key
• A unique machine fingerprint (derived from hardware identifiers, used only to enforce the per-device limit)

After successful activation, validation is performed offline and no further data is sent unless you manually re-activate.

2b. AI Model Downloads

When you install Whisper AI models through the onboarding wizard, the app downloads them from Hugging Face or OpenAI's official servers. Only standard HTTP metadata (your IP address) is sent as part of the download request. We do not control Hugging Face's or OpenAI's data practices.

3. Data Collected on the Website (vosuba.com)

3a. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. GA4 collects anonymised data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general geographic region (country level). IP addresses are anonymised before storage.

Google may process this data in the United States and other countries where Google operates. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3b. Lemon Squeezy (Checkout & Payments)

When you purchase a licence, you are redirected to a Lemon Squeezy checkout page. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record and processes your payment data (name, email, billing address, card details) under their own privacy policy. We receive only the following from Lemon Squeezy:

• Your email address (to deliver your licence key)
• Order ID and licence key
• Country of purchase (for tax and reporting purposes)

4. Cookies

The Vosuba AI desktop application does not use cookies. The Vosuba AI website uses the following cookies:

We do not use advertising, tracking, or fingerprinting cookies. By continuing to browse vosuba.com you consent to the cookies listed above. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the data described above solely to:

• Deliver and validate your licence key;
• Respond to support requests;
• Understand aggregate website traffic to improve our product;
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

• Licence records: retained as long as your licence is active, or for up to 5 years for tax compliance purposes.
• Support email correspondence: retained for 2 years after the issue is closed.
• Google Analytics data: retained per Google's standard 14-month rolling window.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact.vosuba@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have specific rights under the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information).

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to contact us immediately at contact.vosuba@gmail.com if you believe your data has been compromised.

9. Children's Privacy

Vosuba AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. Lemon Squeezy, Hugging Face). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website or Software after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
